How well can the GeForce GTX 780 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

While some games have more powerful requirements than this GPU, the GeForce GTX 780 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition is only really challenged by the most demanding games released today, but normally it is more than capable of running games with a stable frame rate at 1080p. DirectX 11 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Here is a performance review on how capable the GeForce GTX 780 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition is at running the more popular games of 2019. Specifically looking at this PC hardware’s ability to get suitable frames per second to play on Ultra game settings and what FPS it might get on 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen res. When considering how well this graphics card can run the 1000 most demanding games available today it can best 426 of the games’ recommended graphics requirements.

Running at 1080p this card gets a playable frame rate from Need For Speed Heat with 39 FPS on Ultra. Then we take a look at Death Stranding which is predicted to return a weak 21 FPS. Another title that we looked at is the popular Planet Zoo which we saw getting a weak 21 FPS.

Moving screen sizes up to 1440p we ran Need For Speed Heat on the GeForce GTX 780 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition to see that it got a playable set of frame rates. Here are the low to ultra results at 1440p - L: 78FPS, M: 61FPS, H: 41FPS, U: 29FPS. Another popular game to investigate at 1440p with this card was Death Stranding which we predicted will be weak in performance netting an Ultra FPS of 16 FPS. Finally we then took a look at Planet Zoo where its Ultra 1440p Frame rates were weak at 16 FPS. 1440p GeForce GTX 780 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition PC gaming is likely in need of some graphical option tweaks when trying to play modern games.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 780 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 780 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition in your PC? 12-18 months of top end gaming is still left in this graphics card

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 780 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition? A good upgrade choice for this graphics card today would be the 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB. Is this GPU compatible with all my other hardware and would it fit inside my case? Also, does it need any extra cooling or are the built-in fans enough? Last but not least, a very subjective and speculative question, but is getting this card in October a good idea and do you think its price would have dropped a bit since then? It costs about £350 in the UK right now. Sorry for the noob questions.

Card coin-values are based on stores in sweden with 25% value-added tax.

Even after all this info, I still believe that if you have got a 770 you will be able to run pretty much every game on maxed out settings, esp with that CPU.
