How well can the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Getting one of these GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition graphics cards allows the gamer to run indie system requirements and some less demanding AAA titles. In today’s PC hardware terms these are considered middle range for gaming performance. DirectX 11 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Game performance for the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition where we look at the bigger games played in 2019. Looking closely at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. This graphics hardware can run 169 of the 1000 most demanding PC games played today.

With 1080p being the most common gaming resolution at the moment we explored how well the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition can run Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order at 1080p and saw it return weak frame rates at the following graphics settings - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. For performance contrast we can see that Borderlands 3 returns a weak 11 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we booted up Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order to see how the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition dealt with it. It scored up a weak series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. Next we looked at Borderlands 3 which was weak with a 8 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at Planet Zoo that got an Ultra 1440p FPS of 0. Gaming at 1440p with the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition is unable to perform adequately across modern games at this increased resolution.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition in your PC? We think this GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition has around 6-12 months until an upgrade should be considered.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition? A suitable upgrade choice for the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition is the 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB, which is 124% more powerful and can run 897 of the 1000 most demanding PC games beating their recommended requirements. Alternatively a good choice when looking to upgrade the GeForce GTX 760 EVGA SC 2GB Edition would be the RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB which meets 685 of the 1000 top game’s recommended system requirements and has 67% better performance.

So, should I upgrade to this card but stay with my 6100 or do I need a more powerful CPU as well. Also I've only got a 550w psu.

This card is good to run all new games on Ultra until at least till the end of 2015, and maybe into 2016, depending on how well optimized new games are. I would also upgrade to a 6300, but you don't have to. Your PSU should be fine :)

Well, not really. Your card is good to run pretty much all new games on low-high at least for a few years, but if you want to future-proof and run games on Ultra, then yes, it's worth it.

Stay with your 660. If anything your CPU could use some over clocking.
