How well can the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Getting one of these GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition graphics cards allows the gamer to run indie system requirements and some less demanding AAA titles. In today’s PC hardware terms these are considered middle range for gaming performance. DirectX 11 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Here is a quick game performance synopsis for the AAA games played in 2019. In particular we focus on how well the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition runs at Ultra graphics settings and what frames per second it is getting at 1080p, 1440p and 4K monitor resolutions. This graphics hardware can run 200 of the 1000 most demanding PC games played today.

Running at 1080p this card is predicted to get a weak frame rate from Cyberpunk 2077 with 0 FPS on Ultra. Then we take a look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which returns a weak 6 FPS. Another title that we looked at is the popular FIFA 20 which we saw getting a good 79 FPS.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we researched the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 to predict how the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition would deal with it. Our research revealed a weak series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. Next we looked at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which was weak with a 5 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at FIFA 20 that got an Ultra 1440p FPS of 60. Getting popular modern games to run at 1440p on the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition is not ideal and its more advisable to run modern games at 1080p resolution. But if you really want to play games at 1440p then you will likely have to make some graphical adjustments to improve game FPS stability.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition in your PC? Its time to start researching your next graphics card upgrade as the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition is failing to meet modern day gaming system requirements. A gpu AAA lifespan of around 6-12 months.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming OC Edition? If you are thinking of upgrading this graphics card then we would currently suggest the 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB. This PC hardware upgrade performs 120% better and can run 897 of today’s 1000 most demanding PC games. Alternatively if you are thinking of upgrading this graphics card then we would currently suggest the RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB. This PC hardware upgrade performs 64% better and can run 685 of today’s 1000 most demanding PC games.

I would go for it now because the 760's are coming down to what the 660's were (about $200-$220)

This GPU will allow you to play with 60 fps with Ultra/High (Of course based on optimization) on a good deal of new games. If you're looking for over 30 fps, this will last a long time.

Your CPU is fine. An i7 is obviously a better CPU, but it would be an unnecessary upgrade in my opinion.

Well considering the i5 has better single and multi core performance as well as a lower TDP and newer manufacturing process, it would be pretty reasonable that my CPU would be around 30% better than yours.
