How well can the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Getting one of these GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition graphics cards allows the gamer to run indie system requirements and some less demanding AAA titles. In today’s PC hardware terms these are considered middle range for gaming performance. DirectX 11 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Here is a quick game performance synopsis for the AAA games played in 2019. In particular we focus on how well the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition runs at Ultra graphics settings and what frames per second it is getting at 1080p, 1440p and 4K monitor resolutions. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 152 games in the list.

A GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition card at 1080p is seeing a weak frame rate when running Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on Ultra - 2 FPS. Lets look at the predicted performance it will get on Death Stranding which is 0 FPS. To add a bit more variety lets see how the popular Borderlands 3 performs on this hardware, which gets a weak 9 FPS.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we booted up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to see how the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition dealt with it. It scored up a weak series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 4 FPS, Medium: 3 FPS, High: 2 FPS and Ultra: 2 FPS. Next we looked at Death Stranding which we predict will be weak with a 0 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at Borderlands 3 that got an Ultra 1440p FPS of 6. 1440p gaming on the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition is unable to perform adequately across modern games at this increased resolution.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition in your PC? Its time to start researching your next graphics card upgrade as the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition is failing to meet modern day gaming system requirements. A gpu AAA lifespan of around 6-12 months.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition? A good upgrade choice for this graphics card today would be the 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB. For comparison of the 1000 most demanding games around today this suggested upgrade is 132% better and can meet 901 of their recommended requirements. Alternatively if you want an upgrade suggestion for the GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition then a good choice would be RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB as this is better than 685 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 71% better performance as well.

GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition Game Requirement Analysis

GeForce GTX 760 MSI TwinFrozr Gaming Edition a special edition of GeForce GTX 760.
This edition comes with a custom dual-fan cooling solution which by itself should allow a slight performance boost, as GeForce GTX 760 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology.
Also, it has been overclocked out of the box from 980MHz to 1020MHz while its boost clock is now of 1046MHz. The memory clock was left untouched.
Benchmarks indicate a 3% performance boost when compared to the reference card and so this edition performs slightly worse than GeForce GTX 670.

Ok guys, need some accurate advice, I'm really tempted to buy this card around black friday or cyber monday for what looks to be $200, and I know this is a very good GPU and good performance for value, but since I'm currently away from my computer till June 2015 (i'm not even in the same continent as my computer…. it sucks…) I think it's going to be better to wait for new GPUs, help !

Yeah thanks, was my first option but just wanted to know what gigabyte has to offer. Afterburner and GPU-boost 2.0 is also a bonus.

what set up would you pick,
FX-8350 + MSI 2GB GTX760
FX-8320 + MSI 2GB GTX770
FX-8320 + MSI 3GB R9 280X
Forget price to performance value,
what one out of the 3 would be the best set up for gaming,

That does not sound right, I get about 40fps open world, do you have AA on or soft shadows, if so try disabling it for better fps.
