How well can the GeForce GTX 760 Galaxy GC 2GB Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Getting one of these GeForce GTX 760 Galaxy GC 2GB Edition graphics cards allows the gamer to run indie system requirements and some less demanding AAA titles. In today’s PC hardware terms these are considered middle range for gaming performance. DirectX 11 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Here is a performance review on how capable the GeForce GTX 760 Galaxy GC 2GB Edition is at running the more popular games of 2019. Specifically looking at this PC hardware’s ability to get suitable frames per second to play on Ultra game settings and what FPS it might get on 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen res. This card runs recommended graphics requirements of 169 games from the top 1000 most demanding games being played today.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the GeForce GTX 760 Galaxy GC 2GB Edition performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Planet Zoo and saw it deliver weak frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. We proceeded to look at Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order to see how that compared and saw that it returned a weak 0 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

We move on to 1440p, and tested Planet Zoo which delivered weak FPS results. Here are the graphic presets - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. Next we have Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order running on GeForce GTX 760 Galaxy GC 2GB Edition which gets L: 0FPS, M: 0FPS, H: 0FPS, U: 0FPS. And for performance contrast the popular FIFA 20 gets L: 133FPS, M: 111FPS, H: 81FPS, U: 59FPS at 1440p. 1440p GeForce GTX 760 Galaxy GC 2GB Edition PC gaming is not a first choice gaming resolution. While this graphics card would likely be more suited to 1080p gaming, you may be able to make some graphical tweaks in the game options to improve your stability at 1440p.

GeForce GTX 760 Galaxy GC 2GB Edition Game Requirement Analysis

GeForce GTX 760 Galaxy GC 2GB Edition is a special edition of GeForce GTX 760.
This edition comes with a custom dual-fan cooling solution which by itself should allow a slight performance boost, as GeForce GTX 760 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology.
Also, it has been overclocked out of the box from 980MHz to 1058MHz while its boost clock is now of 1110MHz. The memory clock was left untouched.
Benchmarks indicate a 5% performance boost when compared to the reference card and so this edition only performs very slightly worse than GeForce GTX 670.
