How well can the GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

While some games have more powerful requirements than this GPU, the GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition is only really challenged by the most demanding games released today, but normally it is more than capable of running games with a stable frame rate at 1080p. DirectX 11 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Here is a performance review on how capable the GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition is at running the more popular games of 2019. Specifically looking at this PC hardware’s ability to get suitable frames per second to play on Ultra game settings and what FPS it might get on 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen res. 450 games can be played by this graphics card of the 1000 most demanding games being played by PC gamers today.

Now onto the frame rates achieved at 1080p. We are seeing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare getting 36 FPS with the GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition, Borderlands 3 getting 41 FPS and Red Dead Redemption 2 getting 41 frames per second. All run on Ultra at 1920x1080 screen res.

With PC gamers looking for larger screen sizes like 1440p we tested the GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition by playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which yielded a playable performance. Its FPS results for the graphics settings are as follows - L: 72FPS, M: 57FPS, H: 38FPS, U: 27FPS. Another popular game we tested with this card was Borderlands 3 and that was playable. This graphics card delivered 31 FPS at Ultra 1440p. Another popular title was Red Dead Redemption 2 which gets playable results with a 31FPS on Ultra 1440p. 1440p GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition PC gaming is a perfectly suitable selection of hardware for theis larger screen size. If a game at 1440p struggles a bit or experiences a frame drop then you can tweak settings in game to help get it stable. This might mean lowering it to medium or low in some specific options.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition in your PC? 12-18 months of top end gaming is still left in this graphics card

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition? Are you looking to upgrade a GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition? GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition Game Requirement Analysis

GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC w/ ACX Edition is a special edition of the high-end GeForce GTX 780.
This edition comes with a custom double fan cooling solution and with a special PCB which together allow a reasonable performance boost from the start, as GeForce GTX 780 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology.
Also, it has been overclocked out of the box from 863MHz to 967MHz while its boost clock is now of 1020MHz. The memory clock was left untouched.
Benchmarks indicate a 9% performance boost when compared to the reference card and so this edition performs slightly better than GeForce GTX Titan.

Does anyone know what the amperage required for this card is? I know it recommends 42 amps on the 12v rail, but my PSU has separate rails and the combined amperage recommendation means less to me RN.

of course! You have a great motherboard. It has PCI E 2.0 slots, and all current graphics cards are backwards compatible with PCI E 2.0 (don't worry, PCI E 3.0 isn't even much faster than the PCI E 2.0)

As long as your case is big enough and you have enough watts in your psu you'll be fine :D You have PCI3.0 so it will run full speed.

PCI E 3 adds no big performance boost. the card is backwards compatible with PCIe 2, you can use it don't worry.
