Radeon HD 3850 AGP is a variant of the high-end Radeon HD 3850 based on the 55nm, second unified shader architecture, R600. Check its page to know more about its Core.
Compared to Radeon HD 3850, it features twice as much video memory and an AGP 8X Bus Interface. Benchmarks indicate the double sized frame buffer benefits this GPU largely and so its performance is up to 8% better than the reference Radeon HD 3850.
Today's modern games should run fluently at medium settings but with modest resolutions. DirectX 11 games aren't supported.

Just picked one of these up for $20. Gonna put it in my build with two Xeon 2.8Ghz's (overclocked to 3.06) and 4GB of DDR. Replacing a X800 XL.
Running this card in a pentium 4 3.00Ghz system with 3,5GB ram … its runs great (:
This GPU is 14% better than my GPU :)
Ive got this card in my old rig running XP and all my old games. I let my 11yr brother in law play on it when he comes over.
RIG:
Intel socket 478 Motherboard bought back in 2003
Prescott Pentium 4 3.2 (single core) hyper threading.
4GB DDR 400
PowerColor ATI Radeon HD 3850 AGP 512MB
Thermaltake LitePower 500
300GB sata HDD (OS) and 250GB IDE HDD (storage)
LG DVD multi IDE
Netgear GA311 PCI Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
Dell Dimension 4600 case
I only just retired my one of these (along with my p4, agp rig). They are a great card if you stuck with old agp interface.
