Mobility Radeon HD 5830 is a high-end GPU based on the 40nm, Terascale 2 architecture.
It's based on the Broadway Core and offers 800 Shader Processing Units, 40 TMUs and 16 ROPs, on 128-bit memory interface of standard GDDR3. The central unit runs at 500MHz and the memory clock operates at up to 800MHz. It consumes no more than 24 Watt.
Benchmarks indicate most modern demanding games of 2007-2010, such as Crysis, BF2 and Metro 2033 were playable at medium settings smoothly. Therefore, today's modern demanding games should be playable at least on the medium preset, using a 720p+ resolution.
Note 1: Mobility Radeon HD 5830 performs much worse than both 5850 & 5870 due to being paired with standard GDDR3 (instead of fast GDDR5) and being heavily underclocked. It should still perform considerably better than previous in series - 5770.
