Radeon HD 7870 XT PowerColor Myst. Edition Game Requirement Analysis

Radeon HD 7870 XT PowerColor Myst. Edition is a special edition of Radeon HD 7870 XT (not to be confused with Radeon HD 7870). Refer to Radeon 7870 XT's page to know more about it.
This edition has, apparently, no new features - not even a new cooling system and so it performs exactly like the reference Radeon HD 7870 XT.

I have it.It is pretty power-hungry,but nothing too serious.Theoretically it can pull 225W,but that will never be the case,It draws up to 200W when you push it to the edge, but in most of the cases it's nowhere near 200W
Get a quality 500W PSU with it and you will be fine :)

Well it could, but you would have a bottleneck, not big but there would be some
If you really want to get this card, then OC your CPU to atleast 2.9-3.0 GHz to lower the bottleneck

I was just recently been able to fix the plaguing throttling and stuttering on my card for the better part of 6 months, after doing everything possible, through MSI Afterburner, AMD catalyst, nothing worked.
Eventually I just went for an older bios flash, and it worked! VERY risky though could have bricked my card

When I got this card I didn't get any games with it, I complained to Club 3D, I was supposed to get Never Settle Reloaded, instead they sent me codes for NS and NS Reloaded. That was worth £150+!

Anyone know the max temperature this card can withstand? Mine goes upwards of 79 degrees celsius while running BF4. I'm currently getting a new case fan, because I'm not able to afford liquid cooling. I'm using a medium sized case.

Try limiting your FPS to your screen's refresh rate using MSI Afterburner, as there is almost no point in the game running higher than that if your screen doesn't support it, that is just a waste of energy for the card.
Also you can set your own GPU fan profiles using MSI Afterburner, it may get noisy though.

There should also be a power limit option which you can lower, and the card will try and stay at a certain temperature, and power state, meaning it will throttle a little, but will keep the card cool, with relatively same performance depending on if you plan to overclock or not.

And you should know one other thing…As you can see this card cooling system is not very good,i recommend you not to overclock it because it would cause high temperatures
Temperature of GPU in full usage is about 70 C non-overclocked :)
