yes really it would. a E6400 bottle necks a 7570 which is a lot slower than this gpu.
how much you would notice the bottle necking is something i cant tell you

i would check what your mother board can take in terms of CPU. even a q6600 would be able to use this card. but the E6400 is maxed out with a 6570, but a 5770 may work for it slight bottleneck and about 20% slower than this card.

the 6570 and 7570 are the same card in reality btw the 7570 is just a oem version. they are not very good. I would check for bios updates that let you use kentsfeild quad core the Q6600 is a much better cpu. or get a newer i5 system.

the rig i am mentioning is just an older desktop i got for super cheap. it has that C2D i mentioned and is using an integrated chipset for a GPU. i want to buy a Dedicated GPU for the fun of it, dont really need any high performance card, just something for youtube and such.i also dont want to buy a new MOBO.

anything less than a 5770 is not going to let you do much gaming and even the 5770 is just a entry lvl gpu now.
sorry for the 3 posts, but i ran out of typing space.
I would try and go up to a Q6600 + this gpu as a min if i were

then a 6570 or 7570 would work but that is rally about it. could do some gaming at extra low 1024x768 too.

For an i5 i would recommend the GTX 660.. its not much more and a lot more powerful.. I would also make sure you have at least 8GB ram so you dont get RAM bottlenecked.

GD comparisons said that HD7770 is slightly better than this card. My advice : since both cards are on the same level, get the cheapest one.

CMIIW, but i don't think it will make much difference if you choose Nvidia or AMD graphics card to be paired with AMD CPU though.. But since HD7770 outperforms gtx 650 by a little, get the HD7770 ;) it's a nice pair i think, AMD CPU and AMD GFX =D
