How well can the GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Getting one of these GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition graphics cards allows the gamer to run indie system requirements and some less demanding AAA titles. In today’s PC hardware terms these are considered middle range for gaming performance. This card meets game requirements up to DirectX 11.

Lets look at the GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition game performance guide for some of the biggest games played in 2019. In particular we will see how well this graphics card runs on Ultra settings on 1080p resolution as well as 1440p and 4K. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 114 games in the list.

Looking at some of the modern popular games people are playing today the GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition is predicted to run Diablo 4 with weak performances on 1080p Ultra, getting 0 frames per second. Comparing this to Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order which is getting weak results, where it averages 0 FPS. Another popular game we looked at is FIFA 20, which is running at 73 frames per second.

As the PC gaming masses explore larger screen resolutions we decided to run some game checks at 1440p across a few popular games. We predict the GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition will run the upcoming game Diablo 4 to a weak performance level. Predictions across the graphics settings looked like this, Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. Another game tested was Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order, L: 0FPS, M: 0FPS, H: 0FPS, U: 0FPS. And then we checked graphics card performance on FIFA 20, which returned L: 125FPS, M: 104FPS, H: 76FPS, U: 56FPS at 1440p. Running games at 1440p with a GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition is not going to be able to keep stable frame rates at all times at Ultra 1440p on modern games.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition in your PC? Its time to start researching your next graphics card upgrade as the GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition is failing to meet modern day gaming system requirements. A gpu AAA lifespan of around 6-12 months.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition? If you want an upgrade suggestion for the GeForce GTX 660 Ti EVGA SC Edition then a good choice would be 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB as this is better than 897 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 136% better performance as well. Alternatively a good upgrade choice for this graphics card today would be the RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB. For comparison of the 1000 most demanding games around today this suggested upgrade is 76% better and can meet 685 of their recommended requirements.

I've never done any overclocking before and, as I don't know what I'm doing, i won't risk it.

Yes it will.Atlhough your CPU can chew up any game at any settings.Maybe not latest like FarCry or Crysis 3 when it come out.The bottleneck is minimal or none.If you get more FPS in games by increasing the CPU clock then OC it 10% otherwise let it on stock.

Yes you will see the gains.Bottleneck isn't black or white 1 or 0.It can be more or less. Currently 4870 is a bottleneck for the games. And where do you get 20-30 FPS?

The phenom should go well with this card. If there is any bottleneck it's going to be nearly unnoticeable. :)
