How well can the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Getting one of these GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition graphics cards allows the gamer to run indie system requirements and some less demanding AAA titles. In today’s PC hardware terms these are considered middle range for gaming performance. Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 11 requirement.

Here is a performance review on how capable the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition is at running the more popular games of 2019. Specifically looking at this PC hardware’s ability to get suitable frames per second to play on Ultra game settings and what FPS it might get on 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen res. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 111 games in the list.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Cyberpunk 2077 and predict it will deliver weak frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. We proceeded to look at Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order to see how that compared and saw that it returned a weak 0 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

Next up we increase screen res tests to accommodate the growing in popularity 1440p screen size. So we researched the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 to predict how the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition would deal with it. Our research revealed a weak series of FPS results across these graphics presets - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. Next we looked at Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order which was weak with a 0 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And finally looked at Red Dead Redemption 2 that got an Ultra 1440p FPS of 5. After a look at the popular games running at 1440p with the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition, this is not the best choice to run modern games.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition in your PC? There is around 6-12 months of top end gaming left in this card, at which point its graphics card replacement time, assuming the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition is part of your PC gaming machine.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition? A great upgrade graphics card would be a 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB, which has 138% better performance and can run 901 of the top 1000 demanding game requirements today. Alternatively if you want an upgrade suggestion for the GeForce GTX 660 Ti Power OC Edition then a good choice would be RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB as this is better than 685 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 75% better performance as well.

overclocking isn't that easy, your power supply and temps affect overclocking, just because someone else got some value, doesn't mean you can

According to the GD you only 1% worse than 3570k. In the matter of fact the difference is in the possibility for OC.

I have this card for 2 days now. but I have an issue..
When i'm playing a game (for example BF3, Far Cry 3, Saints Row 3, Just Cause 2 etc.)
I'm getting fps drops to 15-20 FPS… This happens about very 30 secs. it stays 15-20 FPS for about 10 secs and then it turnes back to normal?
Does anyone else have this problem, or does anyone have a solution?
(My driver is 310.90.)
Thanks in advance :)

Firstly check your temperature, you can use msi afterburner for that, because it sounds like overheating problem, if thats not problem you can try earlier drivers
I also heard 660ti and 670 power editions from msi have illegaly overclocked (very high voltages) parts

Are those games pirated, i had seen it some where that now a days these companies are trying to embed a bug into there software which lowers the frame rate in a pattern. there are some fixes for this but hard to find the right one.
