How well can the GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

This graphics card offers upper mid level gaming performance. The GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition GPU could struggle if it was to try and run the most demanding games available today, but it meets a lot of game system requirements found in today’s games. Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 11 requirement.

We take a look at game performance achieved on this graphics card when running 2019 popular games. This short GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition game hardware review looks at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 288 games in the list.

With 1080p being the most common gaming resolution at the moment we explored how well the GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition can run Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p and predict it will return weak frame rates at the following graphics settings - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. For performance contrast we can see that FIFA 20 returns a strong 87 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

We move on to 1440p, and predict that Cyberpunk 2077 will deliver weak FPS results. Here are the graphic presets - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. Next we have FIFA 20 running on GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition which gets L: 150FPS, M: 125FPS, H: 91FPS, U: 67FPS. And for performance contrast the popular Borderlands 3 gets L: 41FPS, M: 33FPS, H: 22FPS, U: 16FPS at 1440p. Running games at 1440p with a GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition is a reasonable choice for most modern games at 1440p, but you may encounter some need to adjust graphics settings down from Ultra to High in some cases to improve gaming stability.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition in your PC? 12-18 months of top end gaming is still left in this graphics card

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition? A good choice when looking to upgrade the GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition would be the 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB which meets 899 of the 1000 top game’s recommended system requirements and has 102% better performance. Alternatively if you want an upgrade suggestion for the GeForce GTX 680 Zotac 4GB Edition then a good choice would be RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB as this is better than 683 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 49% better performance as well.
