Man, Assassin Creed Unity has sky high minimum gpu requirements[ Gtx 680 and hd 7970] but i still think hd 7870 will be able to run it. To be sure about this wait for the release date and then look for hd 7870 benchmarks of Assassin Creed Unity.

Yes! I ordered one and am waiting for it today! Consider an upgraded power supply if you use a lot of USB accessories, or are aware of any excessive power usage. As I understand it, they expect about 450w for this card.

The R9 270X is a total beast. You dont need Nvidia TITAN, GTX 780-790, or the R9 290X-290, when you have a card that can run all the latest games on ultra without a problem on 60+ FPS and for less than half of the price for those cards.

I was thinking about picking up a second one of these and crossfiring, so I have a couple questions.
1. What PSU would I need?
2. What CPU would I need to avoid bottleneck issues?
3. Would it be better just to get AMDs new cards that are coming out, the mantle ones?

Late reply but:
1. 650w (good quality) and preferable 750w.
2. You would need at least an i5 or an FX 8320.
3. The 7000 series also supports Mantle, although buying an R9 290 would be the better option (Although your CPU would need upgrading to an 8320+)
Also, upgrade your res to a nice 1080p IPS panel :)
