How well can the GeForce 710M run games
13 Dec 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Based on current gaming requirements the GeForce 710M is considered one of the weakest cards and wont meet modern AAA game specs. Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 11 requirement.

How many years will the GeForce 710M graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce 710M in your PC? Its upgrade time for the GeForce 710M, assuming you are a modern day gamer.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce 710M? If you are thinking of upgrading this graphics card then we would currently suggest the 20 Series GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile. This PC hardware upgrade performs 1851% better and can run 982 of today’s 1000 most demanding PC games. Alternatively if you want an upgrade suggestion for the GeForce 710M then a good choice would be RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500M 8GB as this is better than 572 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 1114% better performance as well.

GeForce 710M Game Requirement Analysis

Overview
GeForce 710M is a entry-level Mobile Graphics Card based on the second revision of the Fermi Architecture.

Architecture
The Fermi Architecture is manufactured with a 40nm Technology and uses a technique known as Hot Clocking: The Shaders are clocked twice as fast as the Central Unit. While this leads to a reasonable performance boost, it causes enormous amounts of energy dissipation, leading, ultimately, to a significantly higher operating temperature.
Fermi is also the first GPU architecture with fully cached memory access which increases memory performance.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GF117-N14M-GL which has 2 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 96 Shader Processing Units, 16 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 775MHz.
Additionally, GF117 is built using a 28nm technology.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 64-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 900MHz.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for Optimus, 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 15W, it is suited for small laptops.

Performance
GeForce GT 710M is essentially a fast GeForce GT 620M.
Gaming benchmarks indicate its performance is slightly below the older GeForce GT 540M.

System Suggestions
We recommend a modest processor (Intel Core i3 Mobile) and 4GB of RAM for a system with GeForce 710M.

This fine GPU can still run fairly recent AAA titles!…

If you're willing to run at 800x600 (or lower) and minimum settings… And possibly 20-30 FPS too

Enjoy your fried laptop xD
In all seriousness: Unless you have a killer cooling pad, that'd be way too high of an OC to handle

I'm unable to decide in having stock speeds or OC to 825-850 on Core and 1050 on Memory respectively because temperatures already get high as they are, but I noticed a respectable performance increase just from a small OC like that.

Quick benchmark (i5 3320m gt710m 8 gb ram 1333 2xssd Samsung evos) - csgo low 60+ fps, tf2 highest 60 fps, witcher 3 20 fps lowest(lol), gmod 60 fps max avg 50, GTA v 30/40 low/med. Its horrible just go for a better laptop. Or play older games from 2005 and lower other wise 2d games hoped I helped here.
