In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M are massively better than the Nvidia GeForce 8200M G.

The Quadro NVS 160M was released less than a year after the GeForce 8200M G, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.

The Quadro NVS 160M has 256 MB video memory, but the GeForce 8200M G does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The GeForce 8200M G has 8 Shader Processing Units but the Quadro NVS 160M does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The Quadro NVS 160M requires 12 Watts to run but there is no entry for the GeForce 8200M G.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewQuadro NVS 160M is a business card with support for special drivers that are certified for professional applications like Microsoft Office Suite, Hummingbird Exceed, Lotus Notes, etc. It's part of the Quadro NVS Mobile Series released by NVIDIA, in 2006/2007/2010.
Though business cards have no driver support for games, some of them deliver astonishing performance (e.g. Quadro 6000, Tesla C2075). Quadro NVS 160M, however, isn't one of them. The performance is enough for all old games and some modern games like the Fifa Series but it's still incapable of playing today's games like Crysis 2 and Metro 2033, even at the lowest settings.
GeForce 8400M GT is an on-board GPU part of the 8000M Series released by NVIDIA, in 2007.
Only less demanding games can be played smoothly.
