In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Intel 865G are massively better than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super ELSA Super Erazor X 8GB.
The RTX 2070 was released over three years more recently than the 865G, and so the RTX 2070 is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the 865G when running the latest games.
Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.
The RTX 2070 has 8176 MB more video memory than the 865G, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the RTX 2070 also has superior memory performance overall.
The RTX 2070 has 448 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the 865G, which means that the memory performance of the RTX 2070 is massively better than the 865G.
The RTX 2070 has 2560 Shader Processing Units but the 865G does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.
The GeForce RTX 2070 Super ELSA Super Erazor X 8GB requires 215 Watts to run and the 865G requires 13 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 550 Watts for the RTX 2070. The RTX 2070 requires 202 Watts more than the 865G to run. The difference is significant enough that the RTX 2070 may have an adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the 865G.

Mini Review | Overview The GeForce RTX 2070 ELSA Super Erazor X 8GB is a High-End Graphics Card based on the Turing Architecture. This is the 'Super' variant of the RTX 2070 and utilises a cut-down version of the RTX 2080 GPU. Architecture It equips a cut-down Turing GPU Codenamed TU104-410-A1 which is a 2nd-Gen Turing GPU and has 40 SM activated, offering 2560 CUDA Shader Processing Units, 160 TMUs and 64 ROPs. The Turing architecture provides the world's first consumer support for real-time ray-tracing technology, or RTX. It is equipped with 320 Tensor Cores for AI purposes. GPU The central unit runs at 1605 MHz and goes up to 1815 MHz, in Turbo Mode. Memory The GPU accesses an 8GB frame buffer of Second Gen GDDR6 through a 256-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 1750MHz, or 14GHz effective. Total memory bandwidth is 448GB/s. Power Consumption With a rated board TDP of 215W, it requires at least a 550W PSU with one available 6-pin and one available 8-pin connector. Performance Performance of the GeForce RTX 2070 ELSA Super Erazor X 8GB puts it between the RTX 2070 Super and GeForce RTX 2080 making it a suitable graphics card for 4K gaming yet ideal for 1440p. System Suggestions GeForce RTX 2070 ELSA Super Erazor X 8GB is best suited for resolutions up to and including 3840x2160. We recommend a high-end processor and 16GB of RAM for optimal performance. | Intel 865G comes embedded on the Pentium 4, Pentium D, Pentium Extreme Edition, Celeron, Celeron D CPUS and features an Integrated GPU called Intel Extreme Graphics 2. It only supports DirectX up to 7.0 so even DirectX 8/9 games aren't (hardware) supported. The performance is ridiculous and even very old games (before 2003) might require reduced settings. Today's games are, obviously, unplayable. |
