In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super Gainward Ghost OC 6GB are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q.

It is smaller and doesn't drain the battery as fast compared to the mobile version, but it is weaker in performance. Architecture The Turing architecture represents a process shrink down to 12nm compared to 14nm Pascal. Unlike the RTX series, the GTX series does not support real-time ray-tracing. GPU It equips a Turing GPU codenamed TU116, which has 1536 Shader Processing Units, 96 TMUs, 48 ROPs and 24 SMs. The central unit runs at 1455 MHz and goes up to 1590 MHz in Boost mode. Memory The GPU accesses a 6GB frame buffer of first-gen GDDR6 memory through a 192-bit memory interface, while the Memory clock operates at 1500MHz, or 12GHz effective. The GeForce GTX 1660 Super Gainward Ghost OC 6GB is an entry to mid-level Nvidia graphics card which is expected to launched at the end of October 2019. The GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB is designed to compete against AMD's more affordable gaming cards such as the RX 570 and the RX 580, and replaces the outgoing GTX 1060.
