In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Gainward Pegasus 4GB.

The GTX 1650 has a 600 MHz higher core clock speed than the RTX 2070, but the RTX 2070 has 128 more Texture Mapping Units than the GTX 1650. As a result, the RTX 2070 exhibits a 79.6 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the GTX 1650. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GTX 1650 has a 600 MHz higher core clock speed than the RTX 2070, but the RTX 2070 has 32 more Render Output Units than the GTX 1650. As a result, the RTX 2070 exhibits a 9.1 GPixel/s better Pixel Fill Rate than the GTX 1650. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The GTX 1650 was released less than a year after the RTX 2070, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings.

The RTX 2070 has 4096 MB more video memory than the GTX 1650, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the RTX 2070 also has superior memory performance overall.

The RTX 2070 has 255.9 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GTX 1650, which means that the memory performance of the RTX 2070 is massively better than the GTX 1650.

The GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q has 2304 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 1650 Gainward Pegasus 4GB has 896. However, the actual shader performance of the RTX 2070 is 2730 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 1650 is 1492. The RTX 2070 having 1238 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the RTX 2070 delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GTX 1650.

The GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q requires 80 Watts to run and the GeForce GTX 1650 Gainward Pegasus 4GB requires 75 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 300 Watts for the GTX 1650, but we do not have a recommended PSU wattage for the RTX 2070. The RTX 2070 requires 5 Watts more than the GTX 1650 to run. The difference is not significant enough for the RTX 2070 to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the GTX 1650.

However, this does impact performance. Architecture It equips a Turing GPU Codenamed TU106B N18E-G2-A1 which is a First Gen Turing GPU and has 20 SM activated, offering 2304 Shader Processing Units, 184 TMUs and 64 ROPs. The Turing architecture provides the world's first consumer support for real-time ray-tracing technology, or RTX. It also has 288 Tensor Cores for AI purposes. The GeForce GTX 1650 is an Nvidia GeForce low-end graphics card which launched in April 2019. The GeForce GTX 1650 Gainward Pegasus 4GB is designed to compete against AMD's more affordable gaming cards such as the RX 550 and the RX 560, and replaces the outgoing GTX 1050.
This is a dual-slot graphics card which connects to the rest of the system using a PCIe 3.0 x16 interface. The GeForce GTX 1650 Gainward Pegasus 4GB features a single-fan cooling solution, mini-ITX form factor, and Expertool II compatability. This graphics card has poor overclocking potential. Its small size means this graphics card is an ideal choice for a small-form-factor (SFF) PC build.
