In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Galax OC 8GB are marginally better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Architecture It equips a Turing GPU Codenamed TU104. More specifically, it uses the TU104-400A-A1 variant which means factor overclocks are permitted. This is a First Gen Turing GPU and has 20 SM activated, offering 2944 Shader Processing Units, 184 TMUs, and 64 ROPs. The Turing architecture provides the world's first consumer support for real-time ray-tracing (RTX) technology. It also has 368 Tensor Cores for AI purposes.
