In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Mobile are very slightly better than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR5.

This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GeForce RTX 2080 Mobile requires 150 Watts to run and the GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR5 requires 150 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 450 Watts for the RTX 2060, but we do not have a recommended PSU wattage for the RTX 2080. The two GPUs require the same amount of wattage to run. As such, there is no need to worry about which will more significantly affect your yearly electricity bills.

Architecture It equips a Turing GPU Codenamed TU104 which is a First Gen Turing GPU and has 46 SM activated, offering 2944 Shader Processing Units, 184 TMUs and 64 ROPs. The Turing architecture provides the world's first consumer support for real-time ray-tracing technology, or RTX. It also has 368 Tensor Cores for AI purposes. GPU The TU104 GPU used in the GeForce RTX 2080 Mobility is clocked lower than the desktop variant, caused decreased performances. The standard model has a base clock speed of 1380 MHz and a boost clock speed of 1590 MHz.
