In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 EVGA SC GAMING 6GB are very slightly better than the AMD Radeon RX 570X 8GB.

The GTX 1060 has a 439 MHz higher core clock speed than the RX 570X, but the RX 570X has 48 more Texture Mapping Units than the GTX 1060. As a result, the RX 570X exhibits a 20.9 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the GTX 1060. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GTX 1060 has a 439 MHz higher core clock speed and 16 more Render Output Units than the RX 570X. This results in the GTX 1060 providing 39.7 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The RX 570X was released over a year more recently than the GTX 1060, and so the RX 570X is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the GTX 1060.

Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings.

The RX 570X has 2048 MB more video memory than the GTX 1060, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. However, the overall memory performance is about the same.

The RX 570X has 31.8 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GTX 1060, which means that the memory performance of the RX 570X is noticeably better than the GTX 1060.

The Radeon RX 570X 8GB has 2048 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 1060 EVGA SC GAMING 6GB has 1280. However, the actual shader performance of the RX 570X is 2548 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 1060 is 3171. The GTX 1060 having 623 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GTX 1060 delivers a marginally smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the RX 570X.

The RX 570X transistor size technology is 2 nm (nanometers) smaller than the GTX 1060. This means that the RX 570X is expected to run very slightly cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the GTX 1060.

The Radeon RX 570X 8GB requires 120 Watts to run and the GeForce GTX 1060 EVGA SC GAMING 6GB requires 120 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 450 Watts for the RX 570X and a PSU with at least 400 Watts for the GTX 1060. The two GPUs require the same amount of wattage to run. As such, there is no need to worry about which will more significantly affect your yearly electricity bills.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
The new AMD Radeon RX 500X series are an OEM version of the current RX 500 series. This RX 570X graphics card is one of the higher performance models from the new AMD Radeon RX 500X Series.

The AMD RX 570X 8GB graphics card released in April 2018 as an AMD performance gaming graphics card. This card competes against Nvidia's GTX 1050 Ti. As a Polaris refresh, the RX 570X runs at a slightly faster clock speed than the RX 470.
The specs of the Radeon RX 500X series graphics cards are identical to the standard Radeon RX 500 series.
Architecture
It is powered by the 14nm Pollaris 20 GPU, which has 2048 shader processing units, 128 TMUs and 32 ROPs.

GPU
The central unit runs at 1168MHz and goes up to 1244MHz, when the boost mode is triggered.

Memory
The RX570X comes with a 8GB frame buffer of GDDR5, through a 256-bit memory interface, while the memory clock operates at 1750MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 120W, it requires at least a 400W PSU with one available 6-pin connector.

Performance
The AMD RX 570X 8GB has been built as a Mid/High performance graphics card for 2018. It will run most triple AAA titles released during 2018 on medium to high graphics at 1080p screen resolution. Performance is exactly the same as the Radeon RX 570. With adjustments and lowering anti aliasing this RX570 8GB card can confidently maintain 60+ frames per seconds on high graphic settings at 1080p. Moving to 1440p screen resolution and the graphics card may need to be adjusted down to medium in order to maintain 50-60+ fps.

System Suggestions
The RX 570X 8GB is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1920x1080. We recommend a mid range Ryzen 5 processor and at least 8GB of system memory for optimal gaming performance from the RX 570X.
Overview
EVGA's GeForce GTX 1060 Superclocked GAMING card is another small form factor single fan performance graphics card, based on the Pascal Architecture.

Architecture
It equips a GPU Codenamed P106-400-A1 which is a First Gen Pascal GPU and has 10 SM activated, offering 1280 Shader Processing Units, 80 TMUs and 48 ROPs.

GPU
The central unit runs at 1607MHz and goes up to 1835MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 6GB frame buffer of Fast GDDR5, through a 192-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 2002MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 120W, it requires at least a 400W PSU with one available 6-pin connector.

Performance
Benchmarks indicate that the GeForce GTX 1060 offers performance just a bit lower than the GeForce GTX 980. As such, GeForce GTX 1060 is far faster than its predecessor the GeForce GTX 960 and even AMD's new Radeon RX 480 is comparative to this card.

System Suggestions
GeForce GTX 1060 is best suited for resolutions up to and including 2560x1440. We recommend a High-End Processor and 8GB of RAM for Optimal gaming Performance.
