In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon RX 580X 8GB are noticeably better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Galaxy HOF 3GB Edition.

The RX 580X has a 251 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 780, but the GTX 780 has 48 more Texture Mapping Units than the RX 580X. As a result, the GTX 780 exhibits a 12.2 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the RX 580X. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The RX 580X has a 251 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 780, but the GTX 780 has 16 more Render Output Units than the RX 580X. As a result, the GTX 780 exhibits a 8.1 GPixel/s better Pixel Fill Rate than the RX 580X. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The RX 580X was released over three years more recently than the GTX 780, and so the RX 580X is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the GTX 780 when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings.

The new AMD Radeon RX 500X series are an OEM version of the current RX 500 series. This RX 580X 8GB graphics card is the most powerful model from the new AMD Radeon RX 500 Series.
The specs of the Radeon RX 500X series graphics cards are identical to the standard Radeon RX 500 series.
This RX 580X is the 8GB version.

Architecture
It equips a GPU codenamed Polaris 20 XTX, which has 2304 shader processing units, 144 TMUs and 32 ROPs.

GPU
The RX 580X 8GB central processing unit runs at 1257MHz and goes up to 1340MHz when in boost and turbo mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 8GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 256-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock operates at 2000MHz.

Power Consumption
The RX 580X 8GB has a power TDP requirement of 150W. This means it will require at least a 500W PSU with one dedicated 8-pin connector.

Performance
The AMD Radeon RX 580X 8GB will be similar in performance to the Nvidia GTX 1060 in terms of gaming performance. Performance is exactly the same as the Radeon RX 580. Comparing the RX 580X to RX 570X we see 1440p frame rates around 8-15% better with the RX580 version

System Suggestions
The new Radeon RX 580X 8GB releases on 13th April 2018 and is best suited for resolutions up to and including 2560x1440. We recommend a high-end processor, like the new Ryzen 5, and at least 8GB of RAM for optimal gaming performance.
GeForce GTX 780 Galaxy HOF 3GB Edition is a special edition of the high-end GeForce GTX 780.
This edition comes with a custom double fan cooling solution which will allow a reasonable performance boost from the start, as GeForce GTX 780 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology.
Also, it has been overclocked out of the box from 863MHz to 1006MHz while its boost clock is now of 1058MHz. The memory clock was left untouched.
Benchmarks indicate a 11% performance boost when compared to the reference card and so this edition performs slightly better than GeForce GTX Titan.
