In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050M are very slightly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M SLI.

The GeForce GTX 1050M has a 734 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 675M, but the GTX 675M has 88 more Texture Mapping Units than the GeForce GTX 1050M. As a result, the GTX 675M exhibits a 25.2 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the GeForce GTX 1050M. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The lower ROP count doesn't matter, though, as altogether the GeForce GTX 1050M manages to provide 3.6 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings.

The GTX 675M requires 125 Watts more than the GeForce GTX 1050M to run. The latest GeForce GTX 1050m is Nvidia's lower end graphics card designed for laptops, although they have decided to name both the GTX 1050. They share exactly the same perormance. Designed to compete against AMDs more affordable gaming cards, like the RX 460 or RX 470 and expected to replace the outgoing GTX 960.

Architecture
The Pascal Architecture aims for twice as much performance as the Maxwell Architecture and Introduces support for Second Gen HBM.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GP107-400 which has 5 SM activated and thus 640 Shader Processing Units, 40 TMUs and 32 ROPs. The central unit runs at 1354MHz and goes up to 1455MHz with the Boost Clock.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 2GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 128-bit memory interface, while the memory clock Operates at 3504MHz which is outstanding.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 75W, it relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no extra connectors are required.

Performance
The GTX 1050 will enable mid level graphics performance on modern AAA 2016 released games. Although there will be variations on this frame rate we expect this card to deliver around 50+ FPS on medium graphics settings at a 1080p screen resolution.
Comparatively, this card will have slightly faster performance than the GTX 960.

System Suggestions
The GeForce GTX 1050 is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1920x1080, so our recommendation would be to use 1600x900 in order to get the most out of your settings. We recommend a high-end processor such as the i7-6700HQ and 8GB of RAM for optimal performance.

As usual, SLI relies a lot on proper driver support and may suffer from micro-stuttering in lower frame rates (below 30). Benchmarks indicate the performance is overall, about 35% better than a single GeForce GTX 675M performing by itself but at times (depending whether or not the 3D game supports SLI or in the graphics driver) it performed worse than a single GeForce GTX 675M.
Even the most demanding games will run at the highest settings.
