It equips a GPU Codenamed P104-200-A1, which is a first gen Pascal GPU and has 15 SM activated, offering 1920 shader processing units, 120 TMUs and 64 ROPs.

The central unit runs at 1582MHz and goes up to 1771MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 8GB frame buffer of Fast GDDR5, through a 256-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 2002MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 150W, it requires at least a 500W PSU with one available 8-pin connector.

Performance
The Asus GTX 1070 is capable of running 2016 AAA games at high graphics settings. This GPU will deliver strong frame rates at 1080p on any game at high graphics levels.

This edition comes with a custom triple fan cooling solution which by itself should allow a slight performance boost, as GeForce GTX 780 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology.
Also, it has been overclocked out of the box from 863MHz to 980MHz while its boost clock is now of 1033MHz. The memory clock was also increased to 1550MHz.
