The Frame Buffer was doubled to 2GB. This would prove useful in a few circumstances because some modern 3D Games require 2GB of Memory for Textures.
However, because the GPU itself is too weak to work under other circumstances in which 2GB of Memory are needed - such as 1920x1080 Gaming, a Larger Frame Buffer is mostly a Gimmick.
