In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce 710M are significantly better than the Intel HD Graphics Mobile (Braswell).

The GeForce 710M has a 455 MHz higher core clock speed and 12 more Texture Mapping Units than the Graphics Mobile. This results in the GeForce 710M providing 11.1 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GeForce 710M has a 455 MHz higher core clock speed and 7 more Render Output Units than the Graphics Mobile. This results in the GeForce 710M providing 5.9 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The Graphics Mobile was released over a year more recently than the GeForce 710M, and so the Graphics Mobile is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the GeForce 710M.

The GeForce 710M has 1024 MB video memory, but the Graphics Mobile does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The HD Graphics Mobile (Braswell) has 16 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce 710M has 96. However, the actual shader performance of the Graphics Mobile is 90 and the actual shader performance of the GeForce 710M is 149. The GeForce 710M having 59 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GeForce 710M delivers a marginally smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the Graphics Mobile.

The Graphics Mobile transistor size technology is 14 nm (nanometers) smaller than the GeForce 710M. This means that the Graphics Mobile is expected to run slightly cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the GeForce 710M.

The HD Graphics Mobile (Braswell) requires 6 Watts to run and the GeForce 710M requires 15 Watts. The GeForce 710M requires 9 Watts more than the Graphics Mobile to run. The difference is not significant enough for the GeForce 710M to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the Graphics Mobile.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
Intel HD Graphics Mobile (Braswell) are Integrated Graphics in some of Intel's SoC Braswell Processors.

Architecture
The Braswell Core includes support for DirectX 11.2, OpenCL 2.0 and OpenGL 4.3. Additionally, it also offers better Decoding Performance, when compared to its Predecessors.
The GPU Codenamed GT1 offers 16 Shader Processing Units, 4 TMUs and 1 ROP.

GPU
The Central Unit Initially Runs at 320MHz and goes up to 720MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The Operating Memory Clock depends at which speed the System's RAM is running and which Memory Type is installed and is ultimately limited by the highest operating speed that the Processor supports. In this case, it is 800MHz.
Depending on whether or not the System's RAM is Dual-Channeled, it can access either a 64-bit or 128-bit Memory Interface.

Memory: Frame Buffer
The GPU Shares the System's RAM which varies according to the System. The GPU may reserve up to ??GB.

Performance
Because Performance depends heavily on the Memory Bandwidth, it may vary heavily from System to System.
Best Case Scenario, expect Performance Identical to a dedicated GeForce GT 520M.

System Suggestions
Intel HD Graphics Mobile (Braswell) is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1366x768. We recommend 4GB of RAM for Optimal Performance.
Overview
GeForce 710M is a entry-level Mobile Graphics Card based on the second revision of the Fermi Architecture.

Architecture
The Fermi Architecture is manufactured with a 40nm Technology and uses a technique known as Hot Clocking: The Shaders are clocked twice as fast as the Central Unit. While this leads to a reasonable performance boost, it causes enormous amounts of energy dissipation, leading, ultimately, to a significantly higher operating temperature.
Fermi is also the first GPU architecture with fully cached memory access which increases memory performance.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GF117-N14M-GL which has 2 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 96 Shader Processing Units, 16 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 775MHz. Additionally, GF117 is built using a 28nm technology.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 64-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 900MHz.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for Optimus, 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 15W, it is suited for small laptops.

Performance
GeForce GT 710M is essentially a fast GeForce GT 620M.
Gaming benchmarks indicate its performance is slightly below the older GeForce GT 540M.

System Suggestions
We recommend a modest processor (Intel Core i3 Mobile) and 4GB of RAM for a system with GeForce 710M.
