In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Point of View 4GB Edition are noticeably better than the AMD Radeon HD 7950 Boost Edition Crossfire.

The GTX 980 has a 277 MHz higher core clock speed than the HD 7950, but the HD 7950 has 96 more Texture Mapping Units than the GTX 980. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.
