In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M SLI are massively better than the AMD Radeon R7 M270.

The Radeon R7 M270 has a 105 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 675M, but the GTX 675M has 104 more Texture Mapping Units than the Radeon R7 M270. As a result, the GTX 675M exhibits a 62 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the Radeon R7 M270. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The Radeon R7 M270 has a 105 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 675M, but the GTX 675M has 56 more Render Output Units than the Radeon R7 M270. As a result, the GTX 675M exhibits a 33.9 GPixel/s better Pixel Fill Rate than the Radeon R7 M270. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The Radeon R7 M270 was released over a year more recently than the GTX 675M, and so the Radeon R7 M270 is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the GTX 675M.

The Radeon R7 M270 and the GeForce GTX 675M SLI have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The GTX 675M has 160 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the Radeon R7 M270, which means that the memory performance of the GTX 675M is massively better than the Radeon R7 M270.

The Radeon R7 M270 has 384 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 675M SLI has 768. However, the actual shader performance of the Radeon R7 M270 is 269 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 675M is 952. The GTX 675M having 683 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GTX 675M delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the Radeon R7 M270.

The Radeon R7 M270 transistor size technology is 12 nm (nanometers) smaller than the GTX 675M. This means that the Radeon R7 M270 is expected to run slightly cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the GTX 675M.

The Radeon R7 M270 requires 30 Watts to run and the GeForce GTX 675M SLI requires 200 Watts. The GTX 675M requires 170 Watts more than the Radeon R7 M270 to run. The difference is significant enough that the GTX 675M may have an adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the Radeon R7 M270.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
Radeon R7 M270 is a Middle-Class Mobile Graphics Card based on the First Revision of the Graphics Core Next (GCN) Architecture.

Architecture
The GCN 1.1 revision of the Graphics Core Next Architecture adds new important technologies and is largely oriented for energy efficiency. New technologies such as PowerTune and TrueAudio are the biggest additions as well as DirectX 11.2 support.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed Opal XT which has 6 Compute Units activated and thus offers 384 Shader Processing Units, 24 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 725MHz and goes up to 825MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 4GB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 128-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and in no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 1000MHz.

Performance
Radeon R7 M270 should be as fast as Radeon R7 M265 and thus offer Performance similar to GeForce GT 740M.

System Suggestions
Radeon R7 M270 is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1366x768. We recommend a Modest Processor and 4GB of RAM for Optimal Performance.
GeForce GTX 675M SLI is a solution of two GeForce GTX 675M put together using NVIDIA'S SLI technology.
Check the page of GeForce GTX 675M to know more about its chip.
As usual, SLI relies a lot on proper driver support and may suffer from micro-stuttering in lower frame rates (below 30). Benchmarks indicate the performance is overall, about 35% better than a single GeForce GTX 675M performing by itself but at times (depending whether or not the 3D game supports SLI or in the graphics driver) it performed worse than a single GeForce GTX 675M.
Even the most demanding games will run at the highest settings.
