In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon X1900 XT are significantly better than the Intel HD i7 3770S.

The HD i7 3770S was released over three years more recently than the Radeon X1900 XT, and so the HD i7 3770S is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the Radeon X1900 XT when running the latest games.

The Radeon X1900 XT has 256 MB video memory, but the HD i7 3770S does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The HD i7 3770S has 16 Shader Processing Units and the Radeon X1900 XT has 48. However, the actual shader performance of the HD i7 3770S is 74 and the actual shader performance of the Radeon X1900 XT is 20. The HD i7 3770S having 54 better shader performance is not particularly notable, as altogether the Radeon X1900 XT performs better when taking into account other relevant data.

The HD i7 3770S requires 77 Watts to run and the Radeon X1900 XT requires 100 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 300 Watts for the HD i7 3770S. The Radeon X1900 XT requires 23 Watts more than the HD i7 3770S to run. The difference is not significant enough for the Radeon X1900 XT to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the HD i7 3770S.

System Suggestions
We recommend 4GB of RAM for a system with Intel HD i7 3770S.
Radeon X1900 XT is a high-end GPU based on the 90nm variant of the R500 architecture.
It's based on the R580 Core and offers 48 Pixel Shaders, 16 TMUs and 16 ROPs, on a 256-bit of standard GDDR3. The central unit runs at 625MHz and the memory clock operates at up to 725MHz.
Its much faster than Radeon X1900 GT due to the core configuration.
Most of today's games might be playable at medium settings although the low preset will have to suffice on some. As it's not based on a Shader-Unified architecture, both DirectX 10 & 11 games aren't supported.
