Radeon HD 4650 is a Middle-Class Graphics Card based on the R700 Architecture.

Architecture
R700 was AMD's Second Unified Shader Architecture.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed RV730 PRO which has 4 Compute Units Activated and thus offers 320 Shader Processing Units, 32 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 600MHz.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of GDDR3, through a 128-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and in no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 750MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 48W, it requires at least a 400W PSU and relies entirely on the PCI Slot for Power meaning no extra connectors are required.

Performance
Gaming Benchmarks indicate its performance is around 10% behind the faster than Radeon HD 4670.
Radeon HD 3800 Series is not a GPU but instead a combination between Radeon HD 3830, Radeon HD 3850 and Radeon HD 3870 whose rank is a balance between the three and that exists for System Requirements purposes only.
