GeForce 8400 GS Rev. 4 is an Entry-Level Graphics Card based on the Second Revision of the Tesla Architecture.

Architecture
Tesla was NVIDIA's First Unified Shader Architecture.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GT218 which has 2 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 16 Shader Processing Units, 8 TMUs and 4 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 520MHz.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 512MB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 64-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is adequate. The Memory Clock Operates at 500MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 40W, it requires relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no connectors are required.
