In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon HD 6750 are noticeably better than the Nvidia GeForce GT 730 v2 Gigabyte Rev 2.0 2GB Edition.

The GT 730 has a 202 MHz higher core clock speed than the Radeon HD 6750, but the Radeon HD 6750 has 20 more Texture Mapping Units than the GT 730. As a result, the Radeon HD 6750 exhibits a 10.8 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the GT 730. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GT 730 has a 202 MHz higher core clock speed than the Radeon HD 6750, but the Radeon HD 6750 has 8 more Render Output Units than the GT 730. As a result, the Radeon HD 6750 exhibits a 4 GPixel/s better Pixel Fill Rate than the GT 730. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The GT 730 was released over three years more recently than the Radeon HD 6750, and so the GT 730 is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the Radeon HD 6750 when running the latest games.

The GT 730 has 1024 MB more video memory than the Radeon HD 6750, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. However, the overall memory performance is about the same.

The Radeon HD 6750 has 33.6 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GT 730, which means that the memory performance of the Radeon HD 6750 is noticeably better than the GT 730.

The GeForce GT 730 v2 Gigabyte Rev 2.0 2GB Edition has 384 Shader Processing Units and the Radeon HD 6750 has 720. However, the actual shader performance of the GT 730 is 346 and the actual shader performance of the Radeon HD 6750 is 252. The GT 730 having 94 better shader performance is not particularly notable, as altogether the Radeon HD 6750 performs better when taking into account other relevant data.

The GT 730 transistor size technology is 12 nm (nanometers) smaller than the Radeon HD 6750. This means that the GT 730 is expected to run slightly cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the Radeon HD 6750.

The GeForce GT 730 v2 Gigabyte Rev 2.0 2GB Edition requires 38 Watts to run and the Radeon HD 6750 requires 86 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 300 Watts for the GT 730 and a PSU with at least 450 Watts for the Radeon HD 6750. The Radeon HD 6750 requires 48 Watts more than the GT 730 to run. The difference is significant enough that the Radeon HD 6750 may have a slight adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the GT 730.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
GeForce GT 730 v2 Gigabyte Rev 2.0 2GB Edition is a special edition of NVIDIA's middle-class GeForce GT 730 v2, created by Gigabyte.

Overclock: Central Unit
The Central Unit remains clocked at the same speed.

Overclock: Memory Clock
The Operating Memory Clock remains the same while the Frame Buffer was doubled to 2GB: a gimmick which doesn't yield any performance boost and can be considered market to lure consumers into paying more for the same product.

Cooling Solution
The Cooling System has been replaced by Gigabyte's custom-designed 80 mm cooler, with air flow optimized cover and aluminum base. The cooler can dissipate heat effectively from the GPU while keeping the fan at lower speed and noise.

Performance
Without any overclocking out of the box, GeForce GT 730 v2 Gigabyte Rev 2.0 2GB Edition is as fast as the reference GeForce GT 730 v2.
Overview
Radeon HD 6750 is a fast-middle-class Graphics Card based on the second revision of the Terascale Architecture.

Architecture
The Second variant of the Terascale 2 Architecture is still manufactured with a 40nm technology and despite allowing more Stream Cores, their design remains more or less the same compared to the first variant.

GPU
It equips a GPU codenamed Juniper PRO which has 9 Compute Units activated and thus offers 720 Shader Processing Units, 36 TMUs and 16 ROPs.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 128-bit memory interface. The memory clock operates at 1150MHz. The size of the frame buffer is adequate.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for Crossfire, HD3D, Eyefinity, App Acceleration, PowerPlay and other technologies.

Cooling Solution
The Cooling Solution consists of a Single-Fan.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 86W, it requires at least a 450W PSU with one available 6-pin connectors.

Performance
Gaming benchmarks put its performance only slightly below GeForce GTS 450, meaning GeForce GTX 550 Ti is still considerably faster.

System Suggestions
We recommend a modest processor (Intel Core i3/AMD Phenom) and 4GB of RAM for a system with Radeon HD 6750.
