In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce 920M 2GB are massively better than the Intel HD i5 U430.

The GeForce 920M 2GB was released over three years more recently than the HD i5 U430, and so the GeForce 920M 2GB is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the HD i5 U430 when running the latest games.

The GeForce 920M 2GB has 2048 MB video memory, but the HD i5 U430 does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The GeForce 920M 2GB has 384 Shader Processing Units but the HD i5 U430 does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The GeForce 920M 2GB requires 25 Watts to run and the HD i5 U430 requires 18 Watts. The GeForce 920M 2GB requires 7 Watts more than the HD i5 U430 to run. The difference is not significant enough for the GeForce 920M 2GB to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the HD i5 U430.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
GeForce 920M 2GB is an Entry-Level Mobile Graphics Card based on the second revision of the Kepler Architecture.

Architecture
This Graphics Card Equips the Kepler GK208 GPU which is essentially a power optimized version of the GK107 GPU. Whereas it still has a count of 2 Stream Multiprocessors, the bus-width has been cut in half to allow for even a smaller power consumption and consequently a cooler operating temperature.
Additionally, the GK208 GPU allows the Central Unit to reach a significant higher frequency, thanks to the Kepler Boost 2.0 Technology. The better the laptop's cooling system, the higher the frequency.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GK208-N16V-GM which has 2 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 384 Shader Processing Units, 16 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The Central Unit is Initially clocked at 575MHz and goes up to 954MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 2GB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 64-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and in no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 900MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 25W, it is suited for small laptops.

Performance
GeForce 920M 2GB is essentially a slightly faster GeForce GT 735M and offers more or less comparable performance.

System Suggestions
We recommend a Modest Processor and 4GB of RAM for a system with GeForce GT 920M 2GB.
Intel HD i5 U430 is the graphics card which is built into the Intel core i5 U430 mobile processor. this card can handle most of the latest games like, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Battlefield 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in the lowest settings on a pretty good frame rate. Overall a great card. A perfect fit for a non-hardcore gamer.
