In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the GT 630 and the GT 730 are equal.

The GT 630 and the GT 730 have both the same core clock speed and the same Texture Fill Rate. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GT 630 and the GT 730 have both the same core clock speed and the same Pixel Fill Rate. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The GT 730 was released over a year more recently than the GT 630, and so the GT 730 is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the GT 630.

The GT 630 has 2048 MB more video memory than the GT 730, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. However, overall, the GT 730 has superior memory performance.

The GT 730 has 11.7 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GT 630, which means that the memory performance of the GT 730 is slightly better than the GT 630.

Both the GeForce GT 630 Zotac Synergy 4GB Edition and the GeForce GT 730 v3 Gigabyte 2GB Edition have 96 Shader Processing Units. Having the same number of SPUs and using the same architecture means that the performance they offer can be compared by looking at the memory bandwidth, Texture and Pixel Rates. In this case, although the GPUs are very similar in performance, the GT 730 takes the edge.

The GeForce GT 630 Zotac Synergy 4GB Edition requires 65 Watts to run and the GeForce GT 730 v3 Gigabyte 2GB Edition requires 49 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 300 Watts for the GT 630 and a PSU with at least 300 Watts for the GT 730. The GT 630 requires 16 Watts more than the GT 730 to run. The difference is not significant enough for the GT 630 to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the GT 730.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
GeForce GT 630 Zotac Synergy 4GB Edition is a special edition of NVIDIA's Middle-Class GeForce GT 630, created by Zotac.

Overclock: Central Unit
The Central Unit runs at 700MHz.

Overclock: Memory Clock
The Operating Memory Clock runs at 533MHz and the Frame Buffer was raised to 4GB. This is a gimmick and in no way benefits the GPU.

Cooling Solution
The Cooling System Remains The Same.

Performance
Due to being under-clocked, GeForce GT 630 Zotac Synergy 4GB Edition is actually slower than the reference GeForce GT 630.
GeForce GT 730 v3 Gigabyte 2GB Edition is a special edition of the middle-class GeForce GT 730 v3.

This Edition comes with a special cooling solution which keeps the GPU cooler under load and no overclock out of the box.

Performance-wise, it's as fast as the reference GeForce GT 730 v3.
