In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon HD 6570 are noticeably better than the AMD Radeon HD 6670 v2 MSI 2GB Edition.

The HD 6670 has a 150 MHz higher core clock speed and the same number of Texture Mapping Units as the Radeon HD 6570. This results in the HD 6670 providing 3.6 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The HD 6670 has a 150 MHz higher core clock speed than the Radeon HD 6570 and the same number of Render Output Units. This results in the HD 6670 providing 1.2 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

Both the Radeon HD 6670 v2 MSI 2GB Edition and the Radeon HD 6570 were released at the same time, so are likely to be quite similar.

The HD 6670 has 1024 MB more video memory than the Radeon HD 6570, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. However, overall, the Radeon HD 6570 has superior memory performance.

The Radeon HD 6570 has 42.7 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the HD 6670, which means that the memory performance of the Radeon HD 6570 is noticeably better than the HD 6670.

Both the Radeon HD 6670 v2 MSI 2GB Edition and the Radeon HD 6570 have 480 Shader Processing Units. While the two GPUs have the same number of SPUs, the actual performance delivered by the HD 6670 is 192 and by the Radeon HD 6570 is 156. Knowing that the shader performance of the HD 6670 is superior, it is not necessary to examine the GPUs' respective Texture and Pixel Fill Rates.

The Radeon HD 6670 v2 MSI 2GB Edition requires 66 Watts to run and the Radeon HD 6570 requires 60 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 400 Watts for the HD 6670 and a PSU with at least 400 Watts for the Radeon HD 6570. The HD 6670 requires 6 Watts more than the Radeon HD 6570 to run. The difference is not significant enough for the HD 6670 to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the Radeon HD 6570.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
Radeon HD 6670 v2 MSI 2GB Edition is a special edition of AMD's fast-middle-class Radeon HD 6670 v2, created by MSI.

Overclock: Central Unit
The Central Unit runs at the same speed.

Overclock: Memory Clock
The Operating Memory Clock runs at 667MHz and the Frame Buffer was raised to 2GB. This is a gimmick and in no way benefits the GPU.

Cooling Solution
The Cooling System remains the same.

Performance
Without Overclocking Out of The Box, Radeon HD 6670 v2 MSI 2GB Edition is as fast as the reference Radeon HD 6670 v2.
Overview
Radeon HD 6570 is a middle-class Graphics Card based on the second revision of the Terascale Architecture.

Architecture
The Second variant of the Terascale 2 Architecture is still manufactured with a 40nm technology and despite allowing more Stream Cores, their design remains more or less the same compared to the first variant.

GPU
It equips a GPU codenamed Turks PRO which has 6 Compute Units activated and thus offers 480 Shader Processing Units, 24 TMUs and 8 ROPs.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 128-bit memory interface. The memory clock operates at 1000MHz. The size of the frame buffer is adequate.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for Crossfire, HD3D, Eyefinity, App Acceleration, PowerPlay and other technologies.

Cooling Solution
The Cooling Solution consists of a Single-Fan.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 60W, it requires at least a 400W PSU and it relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no extra connectors are required.

Performance
Gaming benchmarks put its performance somewhat above GeForce GT 440, meaning GeForce GTS 450 is still much faster.

System Suggestions
We recommend a modest processor (Intel Celeron) and 4GB of RAM for a system with Radeon HD 6570.
