In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GT 730 v3 Gigabyte 2GB Edition are significantly better than the AMD Radeon X1900 Series.

The GT 730 was released over three years more recently than the Radeon X1900 Series, and so the GT 730 is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the Radeon X1900 Series when running the latest games.

The GT 730 has 1792 MB more video memory than the Radeon X1900 Series, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. However, overall, the Radeon X1900 Series has superior memory performance.

The Radeon X1900 Series has 35.2 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GT 730, which means that the memory performance of the Radeon X1900 Series is noticeably better than the GT 730.

The GeForce GT 730 v3 Gigabyte 2GB Edition has 96 Shader Processing Units and the Radeon X1900 Series has 36. However, the actual shader performance of the GT 730 is 134 and the actual shader performance of the Radeon X1900 Series is 13. The GT 730 having 121 better shader performance is not particularly notable, as altogether the Radeon X1900 Series performs better when taking into account other relevant data.

The GeForce GT 730 v3 Gigabyte 2GB Edition requires 49 Watts to run but there is no entry for the Radeon X1900 Series. We would recommend a PSU with at least 300 Watts for the GT 730 and a PSU with at least 520 Watts for the Radeon X1900 Series. The Radeon X1900 Series has been recommended a PSU with 220 Watts more than the GT 730. The difference is significant enough that the Radeon X1900 Series may have an adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the GT 730.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewGeForce GT 730 v3 Gigabyte 2GB Edition is a special edition of the middle-class GeForce GT 730 v3.

This Edition comes with a special cooling solution which keeps the GPU cooler under load and no overclock out of the box.

Performance-wise, it's as fast as the reference GeForce GT 730 v3.
Radeon X1900 Series is not a GPU but instead a combination between Radeon X1900 GT, Radeon X1900 XT and Radeon X1900 XTX whose rank is a balance between the three and that exists for System Requirements purposes only.
