In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon HD 8650G + HD 8570M Dual are very slightly better than the Nvidia Quadro FX 3700M.

The HD 8650G was released over three years more recently than the Quadro FX 3700M, and so the HD 8650G is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the Quadro FX 3700M when running the latest games.

The Quadro FX 3700M has 1024 MB video memory, but the HD 8650G does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The Radeon HD 8650G + HD 8570M Dual has 768 Shader Processing Units and the Quadro FX 3700M has 128. However, the actual shader performance of the HD 8650G is 553 and the actual shader performance of the Quadro FX 3700M is 70. The HD 8650G having 483 better shader performance is not particularly notable, as altogether the Quadro FX 3700M performs better when taking into account other relevant data.

The HD 8650G transistor size technology is 33 nm (nanometers) smaller than the Quadro FX 3700M. This means that the HD 8650G is expected to run much cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the Quadro FX 3700M. While they exhibit similar graphical performance, the HD 8650G should consume less power than the Quadro FX 3700M.

The Radeon HD 8650G + HD 8570M Dual requires 50 Watts to run and the Quadro FX 3700M requires 75 Watts. The Quadro FX 3700M requires 25 Watts more than the HD 8650G to run. The difference is not significant enough for the Quadro FX 3700M to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the HD 8650G.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewRadeon HD 8650G + HD 8570M Dual is a combination of a Radeon 8650G (integrated graphics) with a Radeon HD 8570M (dedicated).
This combination is called Asymmetric CrossFire and can also lead to Micro Stuttering.
Unfortunately, benchmarks indicate the performance is,at times, worse than a single Radeon HD 8570M performing by itself. This is due to poor driver support.
However, on some games the performance did exceed a dedicated GeForce GT 640M.
The Quadro® FX 3700M high-end mobile workstation graphics solution with its revolutionary unified architecture, delivers 1 GB memory, excellent image quality, and optimized visual computing application performance pushing the limits of a 17" mobile workstation. The reference standard for OpenGL 2.1, DirectX 10, and Shader Model 4.0, Quadro FX 3700M enables next generation applications with new levels of interactivity to meet the demands of CAD engineers, graphics designers, and other technical design professionals.
