In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 3GB (OEM) are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Gigabyte OC 1GB Edition.

The GTX 750 has a 235 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 760, but the GTX 760 has 64 more Texture Mapping Units than the GTX 750. As a result, the GTX 760 exhibits a 45.1 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the GTX 750. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GTX 750 has a 235 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 760, but the GTX 760 has 8 more Render Output Units than the GTX 750. As a result, the GTX 760 exhibits a 2.9 GPixel/s better Pixel Fill Rate than the GTX 750. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The GTX 750 was released less than a year after the GTX 760, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

The GTX 760 has 2048 MB more video memory than the GTX 750, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the GTX 760 also has superior memory performance overall.

The GTX 760 has 54.2 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GTX 750, which means that the memory performance of the GTX 760 is much better than the GTX 750.

The GeForce GTX 760 3GB (OEM) has 1152 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 750 Gigabyte OC 1GB Edition has 512. However, the actual shader performance of the GTX 760 is 1023 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 750 is 786. The GTX 760 having 237 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GTX 760 delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GTX 750.

The GeForce GTX 760 3GB (OEM) requires 130 Watts to run but there is no entry for the GeForce GTX 750 Gigabyte OC 1GB Edition. We would recommend a PSU with at least 450 Watts for the GTX 760 and a PSU with at least 400 Watts for the GTX 750. The GTX 760 has been recommended a PSU with 50 Watts more than the GTX 750. The difference is significant enough that the GTX 760 may have a slight adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the GTX 750.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewGeForce GTX 760 3GB (OEM) is a high-end Graphics Card based on the 28nm, Kepler architecture.

It offers the GK104-200-KD-A2 GPU which features 1152 Shader Processing Units, 96 TMUs and 24 ROPs, on a 192-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5.
While the central unit runs at 823MHz and goes up to 888MHz, in turbo mode, the memory clock operates at 1400MHz.
When compared to the 1.5GB version, the frame buffer was doubled to 3GB though this will not boost its performance and can be addressed as a gimmick - marketing to lure consumers into paying more for the same product.

It is therefore a renamed GeForce GTX 660 3GB (OEM) and offers exactly the same performance.
GeForce GTX 750 Gigabyte OC 1GB Edition is a special edition of the fast-middle-class GeForce GTX 750.
This edition comes with a custom cooling cooling solution which by itself will allow a slight performance boost, as GeForce GTX 750 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology.
Furthermore, it comes overclocked out of the box in the central unit that was raised from 1020MHz to 1058MHz, while the Turbo Boost is now of 1137MHz, instead of 1085MHz. The operating memory clock was left untouched.
Further overclocking can be achieved easily, as the GPU has great OC potential.
Benchmarks indicate its performance is around 4% better than the reference NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 and thus this card is slightly faster than Radeon R7 260X.
