In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia Quadro4 550 XGL are massively better than the Nvidia GeForce 6150 SE nForce 430.

The 6150 SE was released over three years more recently than the Quadro4 550 XGL, and so the 6150 SE is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the Quadro4 550 XGL when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.

The 6150 SE has 192 MB more video memory than the Quadro4 550 XGL, so is likely to be slightly better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. However, the overall memory performance is about the same.

The Quadro4 550 XGL has 3.2 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the 6150 SE, which means that the memory performance of the Quadro4 550 XGL is marginally better than the 6150 SE.

Both the Quadro4 550 XGL and the GeForce 6150 SE nForce 430 have 2 Shader Processing Units. The two GPUs are based on different architectures, but deliver an equivalent shader performance. To compare, we must continue to look at the memory bandwidth, Texture and Pixel Rates. In this case, we sadly do not have enough data in this area to complete the comparison.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewQuadro4 550 XGL is a professional graphics card that will deliver similar gaming performance to GeForce4 MX 460, though worse due to the lack of support for gaming drivers, lower memory bandwidth and reduced frame buffer size, as well as a lower clocked central unit. This GPU is the same as
GeForce 6150 SE / nForce 430 is an integrated GPU (GeForce 6150 SE, in this case) in a NVIDIA motherboard (nForce 430, in this case).
The fact it shares system RAM (up to 256 MB), the low core-clock frequency and a few more factors, lead to a very poor performance, not recommended for today's games.
Therefore, only old games can be played at high settings with decent FPS while today's demanding games are unplayable.
