In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon 9600 PRO are massively better than the Nvidia Quadro4 550 XGL.

Mini ReviewQuadro4 550 XGL is a professional graphics card that will deliver similar gaming performance to GeForce4 MX 460, though worse due to the lack of support for gaming drivers, lower memory bandwidth and reduced frame buffer size, as well as a lower clocked central unit.Radeon 9600 PRO is a directX 9 capable card based on the RV300 architecture.
Based on the RV360 Core, it equips 4 Pixel Shaders, 4 TMUs and 4 ROPs, on a 128-bit memory of DDR. While the central unit runs at 400MHz, the memory clock operates 300MHz.
It's still not suited for a 720p resolution, as its memory size is still limited and memory bandwidth is very reduced.
