In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia Quadro4 780 XGL are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce2 Ti.

The Quadro4 780 XGL was released less than a year after the GeForce2 Ti, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.

The Quadro4 780 XGL has 64 MB more video memory than the GeForce2 Ti, so is likely to be slightly better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the Quadro4 780 XGL also has superior memory performance overall.

The Quadro4 780 XGL has 1.2 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GeForce2 Ti, which means that the memory performance of the Quadro4 780 XGL is marginally better than the GeForce2 Ti.

Both the Quadro4 780 XGL and the GeForce2 Ti have 4 Shader Processing Units. The two GPUs are based on different architectures, but deliver an equivalent shader performance. To compare, we must continue to look at the memory bandwidth, Texture and Pixel Rates. In this case, we sadly do not have enough data in this area to complete the comparison.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewQuadro4 780 XGL is a professional graphics card that will deliver similar gaming performance to GeForce4 Ti 4400, though worse due to the lack of support for gaming drivers.GeForce2 Ti is part of the GeForce2 Series released by NVIDIA in 2000/2001. With very few dedicated memory and only DirectX 7.0 (and less) support, even games from 2002 will require reduced settings. Therefore, it can't play today's current games.
