In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4400 are marginally better than the Nvidia Quadro4 780 XGL.

The Quadro4 780 XGL was released less than a year after the GeForce4 Ti 4400, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.

The Quadro4 780 XGL and the GeForce4 Ti 4400 have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The memory bandwidth of the Quadro4 780 XGL and the GeForce4 Ti 4400 are the same, which means the Quadro4 780 XGL and the GeForce4 Ti 4400 have equal limitations when it comes to graphical data transfer.

Both the Quadro4 780 XGL and the GeForce4 Ti 4400 have 4 Shader Processing Units. The two GPUs are based on different architectures, but deliver an equivalent shader performance. To compare, we must continue to look at the memory bandwidth, Texture and Pixel Rates. In this case, we sadly do not have enough data in this area to complete the comparison.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewQuadro4 780 XGL is a professional graphics card that will deliver similar gaming performance to GeForce4 Ti 4400, though worse due to the lack of support for gaming drivers.GeForce4 Ti 4400 is part of the GeForce4 GPUS released by NVIDIA in 2002. Only compatible with DirectX 8.1 or less and with a max memory of 128 MB, it can't play today's games.
Still, games before 2004 should be fully playable at max settings.
