Radeon R9 M265X is a middle-class Mobile Graphics Card based on the first revision of the Graphics Core Next Architecture.

It equips a GPU codenamed Venus PRO which has 5 SM activated and thus offers 640 Shader Processing Units, 40 TMUs and 16 ROPs, on a 192-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5. The central unit runs at 575MHz and goes up to 625MHz, in Turbo Mode, while the memory clock operates at 1000MHz.

DirectX 11.2 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for Crossfire, PowerPlay, PowerTune, Mantle, Enduro and other technologies.


Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 35W, it will only be equipped in medium sized notebooks.

Its performance is almost identical to Radeon HD 8850M and therefore lies between GeForce GT 750M and GeForce GT 755M. Thus, the card is not suited for 1080p but will handle 720p with ease.
