In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT are noticeably better than the AMD Radeon HD 8370D.

The Radeon HD 8370D was released over three years more recently than the GeForce 7800 GT, and so the Radeon HD 8370D is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the GeForce 7800 GT when running the latest games.

The GeForce 7800 GT has 256 MB video memory, but the Radeon HD 8370D does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The Radeon HD 8370D has 128 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce 7800 GT has 20. However, the actual shader performance of the Radeon HD 8370D is 54 and the actual shader performance of the GeForce 7800 GT is 8. The Radeon HD 8370D having 46 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the Radeon HD 8370D delivers a marginally smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GeForce 7800 GT.

The Radeon HD 8370D requires 65 Watts to run and the GeForce 7800 GT requires 65 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 450 Watts for the Radeon HD 8370D and a PSU with at least 400 Watts for the GeForce 7800 GT. The two GPUs require the same amount of wattage to run. As such, there is no need to worry about which will more significantly affect your yearly electricity bills.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewRadeon HD 8370D is an embedded Graphics Card on the low end Richland APUs like the A4-6300, A4-6320
They offer 128 Shader Processing Units, 8 TMUs and 4 ROPs. The memory interface depends on whether or not the system's RAM is dual channelled.
While the central unit runs at 760MHz, since the GFX doesn't have dedicated memory, the bandwidth will depend on the system ram speed which can be up to 2133MHz (the max speed supported by the CPU). Therefore, the max boost clock is 844MHz.
Th graphical performance is not top end by todays integrated graphics standards
The NVIDIA GeForce 7 Series graphics processing units (GPUs) represent a significant leap forward in 3D graphics design, delivering the unparalleled horsepower and revolutionary technologies you need to tackle the latest games and video applications. The GeForce 7 Series GPUs deliver blazing frame rates and outstanding image quality so you can experience full-throttle graphics performance.
