In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon HD 3650 are very slightly better than the Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra.

The Radeon HD 3650 was released over a year more recently than the GeForce 6800 Ultra, and so the Radeon HD 3650 is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the GeForce 6800 Ultra.

The Radeon HD 3650 and the GeForce 6800 Ultra have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The GeForce 6800 Ultra has 9.6 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the Radeon HD 3650, which means that the memory performance of the GeForce 6800 Ultra is marginally better than the Radeon HD 3650.

The Radeon HD 3650 has 120 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce 6800 Ultra has 22. However, the actual shader performance of the Radeon HD 3650 is 87 and the actual shader performance of the GeForce 6800 Ultra is 9. The Radeon HD 3650 having 78 better shader performance is not particularly notable, as altogether the GeForce 6800 Ultra performs better when taking into account other relevant data.

The Radeon HD 3650 requires 65 Watts to run and the GeForce 6800 Ultra requires 124 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 400 Watts for the Radeon HD 3650. The GeForce 6800 Ultra requires 59 Watts more than the Radeon HD 3650 to run. The difference is significant enough that the GeForce 6800 Ultra may have an adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the Radeon HD 3650.
