In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II OC Edition are massively better than the AMD Radeon HD 7770 XFX Ultra OC Edition.

The HD 7770 has a 115 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 670, but the GTX 670 has 72 more Texture Mapping Units than the HD 7770. As a result, the GTX 670 exhibits a 66 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the HD 7770. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The HD 7770 has a 115 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 670, but the GTX 670 has 16 more Render Output Units than the HD 7770. The new features include an increase in the core-clock that went from 915MHz to 980MHz while the Turbo Boost is now of 1058MHz. A 20% more effective cooler is also included.
The performance boost is significant and around 5% when compared to the standard GTX 670.
Most demanding games will run at the highest settings.
Radeon HD 7770 XFX Ultra OC Edition is a special edition of the fast-middle-class Radeon HD 7770. See the standard version for more information about it.
The differences include increased memory and core clocks, from 1125MHz to 1245MHz and from 1000MHz to 1095MHz, respectively. A new quiet and efficient cooling system is also available.
Benchmarks indicate a 7% performance boost when compared to the standard Radeon HD 7770.
