In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon HD 7870 XT PowerColor Myst. Edition are massively better than the AMD Radeon HD 8570D.

The HD 7870 XT has a 81 MHz higher core clock speed and 80 more Texture Mapping Units than the Radeon HD 8570D. This results in the HD 7870 XT providing 75.3 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The HD 7870 XT has a 81 MHz higher core clock speed and 24 more Render Output Units than the Radeon HD 8570D. This results in the HD 7870 XT providing 22.8 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The Radeon HD 8570D was released less than a year after the HD 7870 XT, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

We would recommend a PSU with at least 500 Watts for the HD 7870 XT, but we do not have a recommended PSU wattage for the Radeon HD 8570D. Mini ReviewRadeon HD 8570D is an embedded Graphics Card on the mainstream Richland APUs A8-6600 and A8-6600K.
They offer 256 Shader Processing Units, 16 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The memory interface depends on whether or not the system's RAM is dual channelled.
While the central unit runs at 844MHz (for 6600K, 800MHz for 6600), since the GFX doesn't have dedicated memory, the bandwidth will depend on the system ram speed which can be up to 1866MHz (the max speed supported by the CPU). Therefore, the max operating memory clock is 933MHz.
Its performance is slightly worse than Intel HD 4600 and only very slightly better than previous Radeon HD 7560D.
Radeon HD 7870 XT PowerColor Myst. Edition is a special edition of Radeon HD 7870 XT (not to be confused with Radeon HD 7870). Refer to Radeon 7870 XT's page to know more about it.
This edition has, apparently, no new features - not even a new cooling system and so it performs exactly like the reference Radeon HD 7870 XT.
