In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon HD 7970M Crossfire are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770M.

The HD 7970M has a 39 MHz higher core clock speed and 80 more Texture Mapping Units than the GeForce GTX 770M. This results in the HD 7970M providing 71.1 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The HD 7970M has a 39 MHz higher core clock speed and 40 more Render Output Units than the GeForce GTX 770M. This results in the HD 7970M providing 34.9 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The GeForce GTX 770M was released over a year more recently than the HD 7970M, and so the GeForce GTX 770M is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the HD 7970M.

The HD 7970M has 1024 MB more video memory than the GeForce GTX 770M, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the HD 7970M also has superior memory performance overall.

The HD 7970M has 211 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GeForce GTX 770M, which means that the memory performance of the HD 7970M is massively better than the GeForce GTX 770M.

The Radeon HD 7970M Crossfire has 2560 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 770M has 960. However, the actual shader performance of the HD 7970M is 1850 and the actual shader performance of the GeForce GTX 770M is 779. The HD 7970M having 1071 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the HD 7970M delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GeForce GTX 770M.

The Radeon HD 7970M Crossfire requires 200 Watts to run and the GeForce GTX 770M requires 75 Watts. The HD 7970M requires 125 Watts more than the GeForce GTX 770M to run. The difference is significant enough that the HD 7970M may have an adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the GeForce GTX 770M.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewRadeon HD 7970M Crossfire is a solution of two Radeon HD 7970M put together using AMD'S Crossfire technology.
Check the page of Radeon HD 7970M to know more about its chip.
Crossfire relies a lot on proper driver support and may suffer from micro-stuttering in lower frame rates (below 30). Benchmarks indicate the performance is overall, is up to twice as better as a single Radeon HD 7970M performing by itself but at times (depending whether or not the 3D game supports crossfire or in the graphics driver) it performed worse than a single Radeon HD 7970M.
Even the most demanding games will run at the highest settings.
GeForce GTX 770M is a Performance Mobile Graphics Card based on the first revision of the Kepler Architecture.

The Kepler Architecture was NVIDIA's big step to power efficiency. Each Stream Multiprocessor (SMX) now hosts 192 Shader Processing Units - against the 48 of older Fermi Architecture, and has been redesigned being now clocked at the same speed of the Central Unit. This means they are more energy efficient and will consequently lead to cooler operating temperatures. However, it also means they are weaker. It can be said that one Fermi SMX is as fast as 2 Kepler SMXs.
Additionally, and not available in all GPUs, Kepler also introduced the Boost Clock Feature. The Boost Clock is an even higher Clock Speed activated when in gaming mode and becomes the effective speed of the GPU.

It equips a GPU Codenamed Kepler GK106-N14E-GS-A1 which has 5 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 960 Shader Processing Units, 80 TMUs and 24 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 811MHz.

The GPU accesses a 3GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 192-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 1002MHz.

DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for SLI, Kepler Boost, Optimus, CUDA, OpenCL, DirectCompute, 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 75W, it is suited for large laptops.

GeForce GTX 770M is essentially a fast GeForce GTX 675MX.
Gaming benchmarks indicate its performance is slightly better than the older GeForce GTX 675MX.
