In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 PNY 2GB Edition are massively better than the AMD Radeon HD 8760 (OEM).

The HD 8760 has a 85 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 670, but the GTX 670 has 72 more Texture Mapping Units than the HD 8760. As a result, the GTX 670 exhibits a 62.5 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the HD 8760. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The HD 8760 has a 85 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 670, but the GTX 670 has 16 more Render Output Units than the HD 8760. As a result, the GTX 670 exhibits a 13.3 GPixel/s better Pixel Fill Rate than the HD 8760. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The HD 8760 was released less than a year after the GTX 670, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

The Radeon HD 8760 (OEM) and the GeForce GTX 670 PNY 2GB Edition have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The GTX 670 has 120.3 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the HD 8760, which means that the memory performance of the GTX 670 is massively better than the HD 8760.

The Radeon HD 8760 (OEM) has 640 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 670 PNY 2GB Edition has 1344. However, the actual shader performance of the HD 8760 is 544 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 670 is 1317. The GTX 670 having 773 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GTX 670 delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the HD 8760.

The Radeon HD 8760 (OEM) requires 80 Watts to run and the GeForce GTX 670 PNY 2GB Edition requires 170 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 450 Watts for the HD 8760 and a PSU with at least 500 Watts for the GTX 670. The GTX 670 requires 90 Watts more than the HD 8760 to run. The difference is significant enough that the GTX 670 may have an adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the HD 8760.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
Radeon HD 8760 (OEM) is an OEM Only, Fast-Middle-Class Graphics Card based on the First Revision of the Graphics Core Next (GCN) Architecture.

Architecture
The GCN Architecture succeeds the 40nm Terascale Architecture. In addition to being produced with a 28nm Technology, the GCN Architecture adds other Technologies that allow for energy efficiency. For example, ZeroCore Power, a long idle power saving technology, allows the Graphics Cards to shut down by itself when the Monitor is turned off.
GCN also adds Improved Anisotropic Filtering, DirectX 11 Tessellation and the Partially Resident Textures (PRT) Technology, which enables future games to utilize ultra-high resolution textures with the same performance as today's small and often repetitive textures.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed Cape Verde PRO which has 10 Compute Units activated and thus offers 640 Shader Processing Units, 40 TMUs and 16 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 1000MHz.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 2GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 256-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and in no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 1125MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 80W, it requires at least a 450W PSU with one available 6-pin connectors.

Performance
Radeon HD 8760 (OEM) is a Direct Rebrand of Radeon HD 7770 and performs exactly like it.

System Suggestions
Radeon HD 8760 (OEM) is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1600x900. We recommend a Decent Processor (Intel Core i3 Quad Core/AMD FX Quad Core) and 8GB of RAM for Optimal Performance.
GeForce GTX 670 PNY 2GB Edition is a renamed GeForce GTX 670 with no new features - not even a new cooling system. Its performance is exactly like the reference card.
